SKINCARE NOTES
A place for toner, if you want one
Compare application styles and formulas before adding another layer.

Choose the job before the bottle
Toner is a broad shopping category, not a promise that every bottle does the same thing. In this selection you will find a spray-format centella toner, a cica toner, and a toner whose source overview lists AHA and PHA. Read the formula and directions rather than relying on the category name alone.
If your cleanser and moisturizer already suit you, a toner is an optional step to consider. Think about whether you want a liquid layer, a particular application method, or simply a product you enjoy using. More steps do not automatically make a routine more suitable.
Mist, pat or cotton pad
COSRX Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner is described as a watery spray. Its OMB directions mention spraying onto a cotton pad after cleansing and avoiding the eye and mouth area; the source also describes use as a mist during the day.
Dr.G Red Blemish Clear Soothing Toner is directed evenly over the face after cleansing, with light patting. These are useful distinctions when comparing two products that may otherwise look similar in a grid.
Read the exact application instructions.
Check the ingredients for substances you already know you avoid.
Keep cotton-pad application gentle.
Leave room to notice a change
Dr.G’s product overview lists AHA and PHA, while the COSRX example has a different ingredient profile. A watery texture alone does not tell you whether a product includes exfoliating ingredients. Read the ingredient panel before combining new steps.
Add one product at a time and keep a simple note of when you started it. That gives you a more useful comparison than changing toner, serum and cream together. The best bottle for your shelf is one whose directions and daily use fit your routine.
